Hoop Trundling
Hoop Trundling is a brand-new single-player minigame confirmed for Rhythm Heaven Groove (Switch, July 2, 2026). It was playable in the free "Starter Demo" released June 22, 2026, so its core gameplay is confirmed by hands-on coverage — full strategy details will firm up at launch.
How it works
Per Game Informer's hands-on preview, Hoop Trundling "puts you at the end of a line, tasking you with following the rhythm of those in front of you as you jump through incoming hoops." In other words, you watch and listen to the players ahead of you to learn the timing, then jump through your own hoops on the same beat.
Controls, timing and cues
Hoop Trundling is a new Groove minigame, so detailed Perfect-run strategy isn't established yet — we won't invent it. What's confirmed: you take your timing cue from the line of players in front of you, so the practical approach is to watch their jumps to internalize the rhythm before it's your turn. The series' Perfect Campaign system is expected to return in Groove (earn a high rank, then clear with zero misses), though it isn't confirmed by name in a Groove-specific source yet.
