Price — Why It's Cheaper Than Most Switch Games

At $39.99, Groove is priced lower than most other Switch games — the same MSRP applies to both the physical cartridge and the digital eShop version. That budget price has been confirmed since the April 9, 2026 release-date reveal and reiterated across press coverage, where critics repeatedly welcomed it. There is no separate "deluxe" or "collector's" SKU detailed at this time; it's a single edition at one price.

Switch & Switch 2

Groove is a Nintendo Switch game. It is also playable on Nintendo Switch 2 through backward compatibility — Nintendo lists it as "Supported," meaning game behavior is consistent with the original Switch. There is no separate Switch 2 edition and no Switch 2-exclusive enhancements have been announced; if you own a Switch 2, you buy and play the same game.

Pre-order & the Starter Demo
