Rhythm Heaven Groove multiplayer & modes
Groove is the most feature-packed Rhythm Heaven yet: four-player multiplayer, the new rhythm-RPG Beatspell, and the returning medal-and-remix loop.
You start with just three stages. Clear them and a Remix stitches them into one song; keep going and more games open up. Each stage grades you, and an "Amazing" rating earns a medal — the key that unlocks the new stuff.
On top of the 80-plus solo games, Groove stacks two big additions: the largest multiplayer roster in the series and a single-player RPG mode. Here is how each works.
Beatspell — the rhythm RPG
Beatspell is a series first: a rhythm-based RPG you unlock by earning medals. You fight monsters through dungeon-crawling battles, casting spells by tapping commands as the beat travels around a diamond chart. Tap B then A across two beats to hurl a Flame; slip Down in on the half-beat and it becomes a Cure instead.
Miss the timing and the spell fizzles or does less damage. Previewers found the ideas exciting but were still gauging how deep the mode goes — worth watching at launch.

Multiplayer games
Two of the confirmed 30-plus co-op and competitive stages.
A timer counts down from 10, then vanishes. Press closest to zero to grab the dessert — first to three wins.
Four players guard a carriage, each pressing A to block arrows on the beat. Mistakes drain shared health; hearts heal teammates.
